AEO & Agentic Storefronts

A catalog machines can read, and people sign off.

Forge models every page and product, drafts the facts AI readers need, validates them against what the page actually shows, and publishes to WooCommerce or Shopify when your team approves.

Short answer

AEO & Agentic Storefronts is Forge's flagship module. It turns a WooCommerce or Shopify catalog into consistent, server-rendered, structured facts (families, specs, FAQs, policies and discovery files) that AI answer engines and buyer agents can read, with every publish behind human review.

New in Forge

Families, specs and knowledge, shipped.

The catalog and knowledge release adds parent families, structured specs, bulk publish, staging-to-production promote and an account knowledge base.

Product families

Parents own a shared FAQ and thumbnail. Children show inherited plus own FAQs.

Structured specs

Key, value, unit and source on each SKU, up to 200 rows, normalized one way in Forge and the plugin.

Bulk publish & promote

Publish by family, category or product; promote staging drafts to production with unmatched SKUs listed.

Account Knowledge

Skills, guides, URLs and assets ground every product draft and GEO fix draft in your terms.

What Forge publishes

Every artifact an AI reader looks for.

Enriched JSON-LD

Product, Organization and page-level schema, with the Schema Conflict Manager reconciling theme and plugin output.

Discovery files

llms.txt, an AI sitemap, an AI-bot robots allowlist and a capability-limited UCP manifest.

Machine-readable policies

Shipping, returns, warranty and terms in a form agents can quote accurately.

Answer-first pages

Visible, server-rendered answers to the questions buyers actually ask.

Product fields

Identifiers, availability, lead time and quote paths, where your catalog has them.

Measured outcomes

Citation Observatory and Search Console track what changes, separately from readiness.

Two platforms, one engine

WooCommerce-native. Shopify first-class.

WooCommerce & WordPress

The ForgeAEO plugin (1.7) is the write path: specs and featured image on products, FAQPage JSON-LD, Product additionalProperty through WooCommerce structured data, visible FAQ and spec blocks rendered once, and a footer fallback when a theme emits none.

Shopify

A first-class peer through a review-gated metafield write path, on the same engine, validation and GEO Report. Your store keeps checkout and its own Shopify Catalog settings.

How a change ships

Draft, validate, review, publish.

  1. 01

    Draft

From your catalog export, datasheets and account Knowledge, never from guesses.

  2. 02

    Validate

Against the live rendered page, so markup agrees with what people see.

  3. 03

    Review

An operator approves; families are confirmed by a person, never by AI.

  4. 04

    Publish

To staging or production, with one audit event and per-row results.

Questions

AEO & Agentic Storefronts.

What is an agentic storefront?

A storefront whose products, policies and next steps are readable and actionable by AI agents, not just by people: server-rendered facts, consistent structured data, published policies, and a clear quote or purchase path.

What does Forge publish to our store?

Enriched JSON-LD reconciled by the Schema Conflict Manager, product specs and family FAQs (visible on the page and in Product additionalProperty and FAQPage markup), llms.txt, an AI sitemap, an AI-bot robots allowlist, a capability-limited UCP manifest, machine-readable policies and answer-first pages, all after review.

What are product families?

A confirmed family is the parent of its SKUs and owns a shared FAQ and thumbnail. Children inherit the family FAQ and can add their own questions; the published list is the composed one. Families are proposed from your catalog and confirmed, merged or split by a person. AI never confirms a family.

Can we test on staging first?

Yes. An account can connect up to three storefronts, for example production and staging. Promote copies drafts from staging to production by external ID, then SKU, as drafts only, and lists any products it could not match.

Does the UCP manifest let agents check out?

No. Forge's manifest is capability-limited: transactional capabilities such as checkout, payment, fulfillment and order are never emitted. Checkout stays on your store.

Does structured data get us cited?

Structured data helps machines interpret a page and agree with what is visible, but it is not a citation lever on its own, and FAQ rich results ended in 2026. Forge treats it as one part of readiness, alongside server-rendered facts, specs and clear next steps.
